Dr. Sharon Goldfarb works with under-resourced patients at Order of Malta Clinic delivering care to vulnerable populations.
Sharon Goldfarb’s academic work in California includes Los Medanos College, UCSF, College of Marin, Touro University, and Oholone College. She also began consulting on projects to address the overall health disparities in East Contra Costa and was one of four identifi d leaders to spearhead the Contra Costa Wellness Hub and a member of the Perinatal Equity Initiative.

Dr. Goldfarb was president of California Organization of Associate Degree Nursing, there her work resulted on the creation of AB2288 that was signed into law. She had a board seat on the national Organization of Associate Degree Nursing for 3 years. She still is faculty for the OADN leadership institute. She serves as an advisor for the EPIC brain trust and the Contra Costa Perinatal Equity Group
She is the nurse lead for the social media campaign #ThisIsOurShot, which addressed vaccine hesitancy and resulted in two billion social media hits. Her recent article in “Teaching and Learning in Nursing” was shared on social media more than any other article in the history of the journal. She has been featured in the New York Times, National Public Radio and on several podcasts.
Dr. Goldfarb was awarded the Osmosis “Raise the Line” faculty award and worked as an advisor for Osmosis/ Elsevier . She recently was the director of HealthImpact’s Patricia Benner Institute for teaching and learning nursing where she developed much of the curriculum for teaching nurses’ educational evidence-based best practices.
She is now the CEO of ACHIEVE Innovations and she is an advisor Beyond 2030 to advise on DEI, health equity, and the social determinants of health and faculty and chair of the DEI working group at ACNL.
