Mrs. Lauren Danyelle Nuriddin
BS, MS, M.D. Candidate Class 2025

Lauren Nuriddin is an aspiring Pediatrician who is currently in her third year of medical school at ECU Brody School of Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from NC State in Polymer Color Chemistry with a concentration in medical sciences and her Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences from Wake Forest University. Prior to starting medical school, she also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and a surgical unit specialist for Novant Health.

In addition to her academic and professional pursuits, Lauren takes a spirited approach to serving her community. She finds working with the elderly and adolescent populations to be extremely rewarding and has maintained a mentorship role over the past decade in lieu of this passion. Most notably, her drive to support and uplift youth led to a partnership with Building Hope Community Life Center. She engineered this program, as a medical student, and designed it to expose minority youth to mentors, careers, and opportunities to gain exposure to fields in healthcare while also promoting health and wellness.

Lauren is also particularly interested in both community based and clinical research with a focus on preventative medicine. Outside of being a full-time student and fulfilling her steadfast commitment to give back to the community, she is also a proud wife and a proud mother to an energetic 16 month old boy.

In the future, Lauren looks forward to finding new and innovative ways to connect, enrich and inspire her community. Her favorite thing about working within the community is the hands-on aspect of her work and the opportunity to build meaningful connections with people from all different walks of life.
