Julia Xavier (she/her) is a rising fourth-year medical student at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS). She attended George Washington University as an undergraduate student and received a BS in Public Health. Julia’s research experiences have focused on innovation in medical education and curriculum development. Her areas of interest include racial equity, clinician-patient relationships, and reproductive justice. Currently, she is a full-time student in clinical training and works as a research assistant on several educational initiatives focused on antiracism and health equity in the training and practice of health professionals and learners. Her goal is to continue working to improve the culture and practice of medicine at her institution and in the broader medical community.
