Lauren Castillo, BSN, RN (She/hers) is a Program Coordinator for the VA-ECHO team, based in VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle, WA. She currently coordinates the Health Equity Community of Practice and Emerging Issues in Healthcare VA-ECHO programs.
Ms. Castillo has been a registered nurse since 2015. Her clinical experience includes: critical care, ambulatory care, telemetry, and outpatient surgical procedures. Prior to joining the VA-ECHO team, she was a surgical clinic charge nurse and minor procedure nurse at the VA Puget Sound HCS and before that was an open-heart nurse in the SICU at the Raymond G. Murphy Medical Center. She began her nursing career as a VANAP (VA Nursing Academic Partnership) student and VALOR (VA Learning Opportunities Residency) Intern and has always had a strong commitment and desire to serve Veterans.
She has a strong interest in health equity and advocacy. Outside of work, she loves nature, hiking, traveling, reading, and being with family.
