Bruny Kenou is a mental health activist and medical student at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences where she serves as President-elect of her Class Council. In 2016, she received the David M. Rubinstein Scholarship and graduated with Distinction in Neuroscience from Duke University in 2020.
Bruny's passion for neuroscience and behavioral health innovation is evident through her research roles at institutions such as the National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH) and the Duke Institute of Brain Sciences, her advising roles at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and her experience Founding and managing innovative behavioral health tech initiatives such as DukeLine and Lay Mental Health Advocates.
Bruny is a HopeLab Health Equity Fellow and now serves on the Social Mission Alliance Health Justice Council. In 2023, she received the 30 under 30 Youth Innovator in Behavioral Health Award.
