Kimberly Kochanoff, DMSc, PA-C, Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education for the ATSU Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, AZ graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics with a minor in Chemistry. Kimberly began her career as a researcher at Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona with a focus on ovarian physiology. Concurrently, Kimberly worked in assisted reproductive technology, gaining patient care experience. After completing her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Practice in Chicago, Illinois, Kimberly practiced as a family medicine physician assistant for 15 years, serving as an adjunct clinical preceptor for ATSU PA students. In 2015, Kimberly joined the ATSU faculty full-time as a clinical coordinator and was promoted to Director of Clinical Education in 2018. Kimberly completed her Doctorate of Medical Sciences with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. Her scholarly interests include PA workforce development in rural and underserved communities. In the past decade, Kimberly has partnered with over twenty community health centers to develop longitudinal clinical training experiences in communities of need, with over fifty percent of students working in underserved areas upon graduation.
