Dr. Charmaine L. Duckie, DNP, RN, MSRN-BC, NEA-BC, is the Clinical Nurse Manager of Duke Primary Care Riverview. With 18 years of experience, she holds an undergraduate degree from Morrisville State University, a Master's in Nursing Leadership and Administration from Walden University and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Duke University. Charmaine is dedicated to advancing her leadership skills, pursuing a postgraduate certificate in Executive Leadership and specialty training in May 2024.

Charmaine's career spans trauma to home health, including managing 19 anticoagulation clinics in Virginia, benefiting 10,000 patients. Since 2018, she has collaborated in transforming Duke Primary Care Durham Medical Center into Duke Primary Care Riverview, overseeing significant expansion. Passionate about community health, Charmaine focuses on hypertension education in the Black population. She is a published author with certifications in Medical-Surgical Nursing and Nursing Executive Leadership Advanced.

Actively involved in professional organizations, Charmaine is a member of the National Black Nurse Association, Central Carolina Black Nurse Council, and North Carolina Healthcare Association and serves on numerous boards. She is also an entrepreneur and a dedicated mentor to medical professionals and aspiring healthcare leaders. Outside of work, Charmaine enjoys traveling and exploring cuisines and music, and she is known for pushing her team to achieve their highest potential. Her commitment to healthcare excellence and community impact drives her professional journey.
