I am a gastroenterologist at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona who specializes in the management of patients with a variety of gastrointestinal symptoms. I am also the program director of the Internal Medicine residency program.
My research focus has been in general gastroenterology with a focus on pelvic floor problems as well as lower gastrointestinal issues in patients with systemic sclerosis/scleroderma. I also have an interest in disparities in medicine, education of trainees and am focused on innovations in education.

I am also faculty at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, Arizona. In this role I am responsible for formulating and delivering the Gastroenterology curriculum to second-year medical students.
