A nationally acclaimed patient advocate, nurse practitioner, author, and entrepreneur with a robust 14-year background in nursing, Alita-Geri Carter, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC, possesses a diverse and comprehensive clinical experience. The foundation of her journey includes five years in the fast-paced environment of the Emergency Room, concluding in 2014, followed by a seven-year tenure specializing in pediatrics, where she earned certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care. Transitioning into nursing administration, she accumulated two years of valuable experience as a nurse manager, nurse practice educator, and assistant director of nursing, honing skills in supervision. Subsequently, she ventured into public health for four years, engaging in program and grant management, policy analysis, communications, process improvement, and strategic planning. A brief stint in clinical case management further enriched her skill set. Ms. Carter's multifaceted background reflects a commitment to excellence and a versatile skill set. She is a dedicated and seasoned professional with 7 years of comprehensive advocacy experience, showcasing a proven track record in championing various causes. Particularly skilled in driving positive change, she brings 5 years of focused expertise advocating for equity, inclusion, and accessibility. As a passionate advocate committed to fostering a more just and accessible society, she leverages strategic communication and collaboration to enact meaningful and lasting impact.
