Kyle D. Warren, Ph.D., M.A.E., serves as Senior Vice Dean at Rutgers University School of Nursing and as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs for the larger Rutgers Health.
At the Rutgers School of Nursing, Dr. Warren ensures that all school resources and processes including finance, information technology, facilities infrastructure, marketing/public relations/communications, institutional research, grants and contracts, and human resources remain stable and supportive of the school’s mission. As the dean of students, he acts as the chief student advocate overseeing all aspects of enrollment and the student experience outside the classroom. Importantly, Dr. Warren leads the school's equity and belonging efforts while contributing to DEI work across Rutgers Health.
As Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs within Rutgers Health, he is responsible for proposing and developing Rutgers Health-wide student affairs initiatives and support services, advising on best practices in program and policy development, and enhancing coordination and communication among school associate deans of student affairs. He also serves as administrative liaison, acting as a resource for best practices, and developing new programming to enhance the success of health sciences students.
Dr. Warren earned a Ph.D. in higher education leadership, management, and policy at Seton Hall University. He holds a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs and a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising, both also from Seton Hall University. At Rutgers University, Dr. Warren completed a two-year administrative leadership fellowship in higher education with the Rutgers Leadership Academy. In addition, Dr. Warren completed the Management Development Program (MDP) in higher education administration at the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University as a part of the 2018 cohort.
